Lisa aka Gobby, started playing football with the boys in the playground at school but as there were no girls teams for her to play in she didn't start playing competitive matches until she was 18 when she went to the University of Bristol playing in central defence. In her third season she was Club Captain, organising the team and helping them join the Sunday Gloucestershire County league and establishing their first ever reserve team. She also played in a one off game for Chelsea reserves.After University she joined Oldland Abbotonians in 2004 as a utility player with her highlights winning the Gloucestershire County League and Cup double in 2008 and getting selected for Gloucestershire County Squad. She changed sports to rugby in 2009 before returning to football and Oldland in 2014.
She joined Downend Flyers in 2019 and has enjoyed playing in centre midfield and was awarded reserve team coaches' player of the season for 2021-22 and helped the reserves gain promotion to Gloucestershire County division 2.
