Downend Flyers FC is excited to announce our 2026 annual Tournament and Festival of Fun.
Dates: Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th June 2026
Location: Johnson Road Playing Fields, Mangotsfield, Bristol, BS16 7JR
Age groups: U7 – U16 & Women’s
Squad size: 5/6-aside with max 8 players per squad
This event is a celebration of girls’ and women’s football in the South West, welcoming teams from U7 through to Women’s age groups for a weekend of football, fun, and community spirit.
Tournament Format
U7 & U8 Teams
5-a-side Festival of Fun
Under 7 and under 8 age groups will take part in a 5-a-side Festival of Fun, where all players receive a medal. The focus is on enjoyment, participation, and positive experiences for every player.
U9 to U16 & Women’s Teams
6-a-side Tournament
Under 9 to under 16 and women’s age groups will compete in a 6-a-side tournament, with teams playing in group stages followed by knockout rounds, ensuring plenty of playing time for all participants. Awards are presented for tournament winners & runners-up, and is a chance for families and supporters to enjoy a festival-style day, with refreshments and a lively club atmosphere.
